Changnan Avenue Expressway serves as the key trunk section of Nanchang Second Urban Ring Road (South Ring). Starting from Yanjiang South Avenue at the east end of Shengmi Bridge and ending at Changdong Avenue, the reconstructed route stretches about 13.3 km, classified as urban expressway with a designed speed of 80 km/h. A total of 3 full interchanges and 8 diamond interchanges are constructed along the line, including multi-layer hub interchanges such as Taohua Road Interchange, Yingbin North Avenue Cloverleaf Interchange and Nanlian Road Interchange. The main viaduct adopts dual 6-lane & dual 8-lane standards, covering bridge engineering, asphalt pavement, drainage pipeline, road lighting, traffic safety facilities, utility tunnel and complete municipal supporting works.

Located in built-up southern Nanchang with dense residential blocks and existing roads, the project adopted reconstruction while maintaining partial traffic operation. Construction was carried out alongside existing traffic, featuring scattered work sites and complicated traffic coordination. After opening to traffic, the main line operates without signal lights, shortening east-west travel time to only 10 minutes. The corridor connects Qingyunpu, Nanchang County and southern Honggutan efficiently, optimizes the southern road network, diverts transit freight and commuter flow, and accelerates urban construction and industrial growth in southern Nanchang.

Zhongchun Group undertook centralized procurement and supply of municipal road materials for the whole route. Supplied products include asphalt mixture, bridge anti-collision guardrails, viaduct lighting, precast box girders, bridge bearings, road marking materials, water supply & drainage pipes, subgrade stabilization materials, traffic signboards and bridge expansion joints. We implemented zoned staggered delivery plans adapting to continuous urban traffic and simultaneous construction of multiple interchanges, supporting parallel construction of multi-level interchanges, main viaduct and auxiliary ground roads.
